Ayb Contests Unite Thousands of Children around the Idea of Education

The school contests organized by the Ayb Educational Foundation aim to increase the students’ interest toward learning, present school subjects in a new way, boost the Armenian students’ participation in the international competitions, as well as contribute to unlocking the children’s potential and self-expression. For about 11 years, Ayb has also been organizing award ceremonies for the contest awardee children and participant schools.

From June 17 to 26, award ceremonies for the Kangaroo 2019 International Mathematical Competition, Meghu 2018 Armenian Language Contest and Russian Bear Cub 2018 Russian Language Contest, involving over 3100 awardees and participant schools, took place in all RA marzes and Artsakh.

 

The Meghu 2018 Contest had 35 419 participants from 969 schools, 1187 awardees and 6 winners:

Arshak Movsisyan, 3rd grade, Ohanyan Educational Complex, Yerevan;

Gagik Gevorgyan, 6th grade, Quantum College, Yerevan;

Shushanna Balayan, 7th grade, Stepanakert Basic School No. 9 named after H. Tumanyan;

Meline Hunanyan, 8th grade, Gyumri Basic School No. 31 named after Gregory the Illuminator;

Lusine Grigoryan, 11th grade, Gergharkunik Secondary School;

Astghik Baghramyan, 12th grade, Photon College, Gyumri.

 

The Kangaroo 2019 Contest had 38 616 participants from 1036 schools, 1474 awardees and 3 winners:

 Tsovak Yegoryan, 6th grade, Yerevan Secondary School No. 197;

Gagik Gevorgyan, 6th grade, Quantum College, Yerevan;

Meri Badalyan, 8th grade, Physics and Mathematics Specialized School named after S. Shahinyan under YSU.

 

The Russian Bear Cub 2018 Contest had 8006 participants from 313 schools, 379 awardees and 1 winner:

Armen Fljyan, 10th grade, Photon College, Gyumri.

An unprecedented number of students have participated in the Ayb contests during recent years, which comes to prove their popularity and recognition.

The Kangaroo Mathematical, Meghu Armenian Language and Russian Bear Cub Russian Language Contests have had:

 635 279 participants from Armenia,

 26 972 participants from Artsakh, and

662 251 participants in total.

 

The Ayb Educational Foundation extends its gratitude to all our partners that have supported us in the organization of the contests and award ceremonies, namely Yerevan municipality, all marz municipalities, the host schools and teachers, as well as the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and Ministry of Education, Science and Sport of the Republic of Artsakh, under the patronage of which all the three contests were held.
