Throughout its activity and project implementation, the Ayb Educational Foundation has been cooperating with a number of comprehensive schools to identify the best educational practices and culture and to promote them via inspiring other schools to join in. Each partner school possesses a unique experience, values and best practices that have been accrued through their efforts and commitment. The Ayb Educational Foundation highly values this cooperation, the accumulated potential and the shared vision on the future of education. At the same time, the Foundation has initiated a platform of horizontal cooperation for the schools, aiming to identify and disseminate the best educational practices. A successful experience of such cooperation has been the Araratian Baccalaureate Program, within the scope of which over 100 teachers were trained and continue to apply the gained knowledge and skills in their practice, setting new quality benchmarks in their schools and communities, despite the suspension of the program. The same is true about AybLabs and school contests and projects implemented on the initiative of the Foundation. The mentioned platform will facilitate mutual learning and experience exchange between the schools, and within the scope of the envisaged discussions and meetings, sector-relevant issues will be raised to seek solutions.
The first working meeting was attended by the principals of the schools that had opened AybLabs and participated in the Araratian Baccalaureate Program, along with the representatives of the Ayb Educational Foundation and Ayb School. The format of further cooperation and the action plan were discussed at the meeting, aiming at capacity building at the laboratories of marz schools, teacher training, promotion of project-based learning, implementation of educational studies and so on. In this regard, Ayb intends to enlarge the scope of its activities to encompass more beneficiaries and provide them with an opportunity to apply Ayb’s successful practice.
“We have come down a long path full of challenges and fruitful outcomes with those present at the meeting today. Our cooperation with the schools may involve various other projects; however, our current priority is the creation of a platform where the schools would be able to cooperate in a horizontal direction, exchange their experience and implement joint projects,” says Sona Koshetsyan, Executive Director of the Foundation.
Coordination of issues, upgrades and continuous improvement, professional development and new modus operandi, discussions and growth; the principals believe these are the main expectations and steps outlining their further joint activities.
Working meetings and discussions on network coordination and action planning are expected to be also held in the near future.
