On October 28, the Ayb Educational Foundation held an open and interactive event dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Kangaroo International Mathematical Competition in the Charles Aznavour Square.
“Kangaroo as well as all Ayb Educational Foundation's initiatives are focused on one objective: to make education enjoyable and interesting for children. We believe that education is the path to success," said the Ayb Educational Foundation’s Executive Director Sona Koshetsyan in her welcoming remarks, adding that 10 years ago when they were initiating the contest they could not imagine that it would one day turn into such a huge movement bringing together thousands of children, their parents, grandparents, teachers and schools.
Thanks to its ten years of activity in Armenia, Kangaroo has not only turned into a unique children's educational movement, but has also set new standards for school competitions, contributing to the overall development of the Armenian education system and stimulating love for mathematics among children. This contest, with over 40,000 children participating annually, is now the most massive school competition in Armenia and Artsakh.
"Over the past ten years, 395,484 students from Armenia and Artsakh have participated in the competition, which proves that this contest has not only been held in our country but also remains the focus of children's attention," said Head of Contests Department at the Ayb Educational Foundation Shushan Karapetyan, expressing confidence that Kangaroo will continue its triumph in the coming decade as well.
During the three-hour event, the guests played interactive games and interesting quizzes, took part in interesting dance master classes as well as enjoyed the dances of Aybar Dance Group and the songs of singer Masha Mnjoyan.
The event was organized with the support of Noyan Tapan Bookstore, Mega Toys Specialized Shop of Toys, and Cityzen City of Professions.
