From October 31 to November 5 of the current year, the 27th All-Ukrainian Tournament of Young Chemists took place in Lutsk town of the Ukraine, in which Armenia was represented via its national Oganesson team. The Ayb Educational Foundation as the representative of Armenia has participated in the tournament for the third time this year.
For around 10 years, the Ayb Educational Foundation has been organizing the All-Armenian Tournament of Young Chemists to enable our children who have an interest in chemistry to test their own abilities and to represent Armenia in the international arena.
We are greatly pleased to inform you that our national team has returned with a third grade diploma, having participated in the quarter finals and semi-finals of the tournament, while having performed particularly successfully in the semifinals. Our team was awarded a certificate of honor in the category of “scientificity.” The jury appreciated the comprehensiveness, scientificity and uniqueness of the solutions proposed by the Armenian students for the assigned problems, as well as the compliance of the selected model to the conditions of the problem. Furthermore, Zohrab Boyajyan and Gagik Tadevosyan were awarded personalized certificates of honor for the impressive individual results and performance.
Twenty teams from various regions of the Ukraine took part in the tournament this year, along with the teams from Armenia and Mexico. The Oganesson team consisted of the participants that had won first and second places in the 9th All-Armenian Tournament of Young Chemists, who are all students of Yerevan High School named after Mkhitar Heratsi.
Our heartiest congratulations to the team and the students on these significant achievements! We are pleased to state that our collective efforts are continuously directed at the development of the study of chemistry in Armenia and at the promotion of interest toward this subject among our children.
Converse Bank is our partner in the tournament organization; it also assists us in the organization of the international round. Our team’s participation in the international round of the tournament has been sponsored by VisaConcordTravel.
